Clears my sinus, not suitable for newborns.
After reading the packaging I realized that even though other reviewers said they used this for newborns it is not to be used for babies under 3 months. I bought this to help my 8 week old breathe clearer, but was reluctant to use. After her nose got so clogged she could barely breathe I plugged this in. It smelled clean and cleared up my passages, but did nothing for her.
definitely worth it.
The decongestant medicine only lasts about 4 hours, so between a humidifier and this plug-in my 3 year old can sleep through the night without waking up to a stuffed nose! The refills are a little pricey, about [...], but I think it’s worth it.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this product!
My daughter was a preemie born in the fall, and she was constantly sick with horrible colds from December through May. She was on a nebulizer and all sorts of medication, so during the day when she received treatments she wan’t bad, but at night nothing helped her stuffy nose. Since she was so stuffed up, she had difficulty breathing and she would constantly wake herself up. We tried a humidifier and baby Vicks on her chest, but nothing helped. Then we discovered this amazing product. A friend recommended it, and my husband found it at the drugstore for less than $10. We plugged it in and kept the door to her room closed. In half an hour the room was filled with the vapors. We turned the humidifier on with it, and the vapors were even more effective. The scent lasted all night long and into the morning, so we never worried about it running out half way through the night.
Since we started using this (almost a year ago now), our daughter has slept beautifully, and is not as stuffed up. I love the fact it is small and I can just tuck it away into a drawer when we’re done with it (unlike a humidifier). Plus the soft blue nightlight is perfect for us to tip-toe in to check up on her, and we love the fact that we can just buy the refills (5 for around $5).
I absolutely love this product and highly recommend it to any parent who has a child suffering from a cold. It makes a great wishing well gift for a baby shower!
